Snow Storm 2010

The Arundel Volunteer Fire Department would like to send out a sincere THANK YOU to the community for your assistance during the snow storm that crippled the entire Mid-Atlantic area. The Fire Department is always there to provide services in your time of need, we quickly found out that we were in a time of need also. The community banded together and assisted us in digging out our apparatus, feeding, watering and caffeinating our crews, and assisting on emergency calls as best they could. Our emergency calls did not subside from the normal volume just because there was a storm. Our call volume in fact increased. We had to take special steps, transporting a sick baby in the asst chiefs car to the hospital, a doctor all the way to St. Agnes, etc etc. It takes special people with a pride and commitment to the community to come together for an event of this magnitiude.

Again

THANK YOU !!!!
